1. Introduction
Cradl ("we," "our," "us") operates the Cradl mobile application and web application (collectively, the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our Service. By using Cradl, you consent to the practices described herein.

2. Information We Collect
Account Information: Email address, name, and authentication credentials (encrypted).
Baby Profile Data: Baby's name, date of birth, gender, and avatar selection — entered voluntarily by you.
Log Data: Feeding records, sleep logs, diaper changes, growth measurements, temperature readings, medication doses, milestones, and notes — all entered manually by you.
Device Information: We may collect device type, operating system, and app version for troubleshooting purposes only.
We do NOT collect: Location data, contacts, photos, microphone/camera data, browsing history, or any data from other apps on your device.

3. How We Use Your Information
We use your data solely to: provide and maintain the Service; display your logs, insights, charts, and reports; sync data across your devices in real time; send feed reminders and notifications (only if you enable them); and improve the Service through anonymized, aggregated analytics.

4. Data Storage and Security
All data is stored in Google Firebase (Firestore) with encryption in transit (TLS 1.2+) and at rest (AES-256). Each user account is fully isolated — your data is stored under your unique user ID and cannot be accessed by any other user. Authentication is handled by Firebase Authentication with industry-standard security practices. We do not store passwords in plain text.

5. Data Sharing
We do NOT sell, trade, rent, or share your personal data with any third party. We do not display advertisements. We do not provide data to data brokers, marketing companies, or analytics firms. Your data may only be disclosed if required by law, court order, or to protect our legal rights.

6. Children's Privacy (COPPA Compliance)
Cradl is designed for use by parents and guardians (18+). We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13. All baby-related data is entered and controlled by the parent or guardian. If we learn that we have inadvertently collected data from a child under 13, we will delete it promptly.

7. Your Rights
Access: You can view all your data within the app at any time.
Export: You can export your data in CSV or JSON format.
Deletion: You can delete your account and all associated data from Settings. Deletion is permanent and completed within 30 days.
Correction: You can edit your profile and log entries at any time.

8. Data Retention
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. Free-tier accounts inactive for 24 months may have data deleted after 60 days written notice. Paid accounts retain data indefinitely while the subscription is active. Upon account deletion, all data is permanently removed within 30 days.

9. Third-Party Services
We use: Google Firebase (authentication and database), Stripe (web payments — processes payment data directly, we do not store card numbers), and Apple/Google (in-app purchases via their respective platforms). Each service has its own privacy policy.

10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via the app or email. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance.

1. Acceptance of Terms
By creating an account or using the Cradl application ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service. You must be at least 18 years of age to use Cradl.

2. Description of Service
Cradl is a baby care logging and tracking application that allows parents and guardians to record feeding, sleep, diaper, growth, and other infant care data. The Service includes features such as charts, insights, reports, vaccine schedules, and developmental milestone references.

3. IMPORTANT MEDICAL DISCLAIMER
CRADL IS NOT A MEDICAL DEVICE AND DOES NOT PROVIDE MEDICAL ADVICE. All content in the Service — including but not limited to feeding guidelines, growth charts, vaccine schedules, developmental timelines, pattern insights, temperature alerts, and any other health-related information — is provided for informational and organizational purposes only. It does not constitute medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.

You should always consult your pediatrician, physician, or qualified healthcare provider with any questions regarding your child's health. Never disregard professional medical advice or delay seeking treatment because of information displayed in Cradl. In case of a medical emergency, call your local emergency number immediately.

WE EXPRESSLY DISCLAIM ALL LIABILITY for any harm, injury, loss, or damage arising from reliance on information provided by the Service.

4. User Accounts
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. You agree to provide accurate and complete information when creating your account. You are solely responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use.

5. User Data and Ownership
You retain full ownership of all data you enter into Cradl. We claim no ownership or intellectual property rights over your content. You grant us a limited license to store, process, and display your data solely for the purpose of providing the Service. You may export or delete your data at any time.

6. Subscriptions and Payments
Cradl offers free and paid subscription tiers. Paid subscriptions are billed monthly and auto-renew unless cancelled before the end of the current billing period. No partial refunds are provided for cancellation mid-period. Prices may change with 30 days advance notice. For iOS and Android purchases, Apple's and Google's respective refund policies apply. We reserve the right to modify features available in each tier.

7. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, CRADL AND ITS OPERATORS, OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, AND AFFILIATES SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, RESULTING FROM: (A) YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE SERVICE; (B) ANY CONTENT OR DATA ENTERED INTO OR OBTAINED FROM THE SERVICE; (C) UNAUTHORIZED ACCESS TO YOUR ACCOUNT OR DATA; (D) ANY ERRORS, INACCURACIES, OR OMISSIONS IN THE SERVICE; OR (E) ANY OTHER MATTER RELATING TO THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, SECURE, OR FREE OF VIRUSES OR OTHER HARMFUL COMPONENTS.

9. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Cradl and its operators from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including attorney's fees) arising from your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any third-party rights.

10. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time for violation of these Terms. You may terminate your account at any time from the Settings page. Upon termination, your data will be deleted within 30 days.

11. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States and the State of California, without regard to conflict of law provisions.

12. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated via the app or email. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

Our diaper options are based on AAP/pediatric guidelines. Yellow, seedy stools are normal for breastfed babies. Red or white stools need medical attention.
